📦 Acclimation
- Float the sealed bag for 15–30 minutes to match temperature.
- Open the bag and gently pour out the coral and water into a clean container.
- Add tank water slowly over 10–15 minutes to adjust salinity.
- Do not drip acclimate. It stresses the coral and can do more harm than good.
- We do not recommend dipping. These corals are clean and healthy—dips can stress or kill sensitive species.

Short version: We ship FedEx Priority Overnight. Corals are backed for 30 days with replacements only. Free coral shipping $249+. Replacements: to qualify for a DOA coral replacement, your next order must be of meaningful value (≥ 50% of the value being replaced); we don’t ship replacements alone. Credits & discounts: Any discount applies to items first, then any DOA store credit is subtracted from the discounted subtotal. Credit itself isn’t discounted. See details below.
1) Shipping
- Carrier: FedEx Priority Overnight for all live animals.
- Handling time: Orders usually ship within 2 business days after payment (varies with volume and weather).
- Coordination: Email info@corals4u.us to schedule ship-out. If we don’t hear from you within 14 days, your order converts to store credit (no expiration).
- Free shipping: Coral orders $249+ ship free.
- Addresses: No PO Boxes/APO/FPO. Provide a safe, accurate address. If FedEx flags a location as unsafe, we can’t replace or refund for theft or misdelivery, but we’ll help you file a claim.
- Methods: We may delay shipping for weather or carrier risk. We always ship when it’s safe for the animals.
2) 30-Day Live Coral Guarantee
Every coral is covered for 30 days. If it arrives DOA or fails within 30 days, we’ll replace it with a coral of equal value. No refunds.
- How to qualify: Maintain stable, healthy reef conditions. Severe parameter swings, improper lighting/flow, or neglect void coverage.
- Proof: Photos/videos are required. For DOA on arrival, send a clear photo of the coral in the sealed bag within 2 hours of delivery.
- Meaningful value requirement: Your next order must be ≥ 50% of the total value of the DOA coral(s). Example: DOA total = $200 → next order subtotal must be ≥ $100. Small “token” orders or shipping-only requests don’t qualify.
- Shipping of replacements: Replacements ship with your next order that meets the meaningful value rule (≥ 50%). We don’t ship replacements alone.
- What’s not covered: Color shifts (e.g., Acropora browning), growth rate, or damage after introduction due to tank conditions.
- Out of stock: If the same coral isn’t available, choose another of equal value.
- If store credit is issued instead of a replacement: see Section 6 for how credit and discounts are applied.
3) Customer responsibilities on arrival
- Be available on delivery day. Open and acclimate promptly.
- Delays in opening or acclimating may void coverage.
- If tracking shows delivered but the box wasn’t opened in time, losses are the buyer’s responsibility.
4) Shipping delays & carrier issues
- No refunds or replacements for carrier/weather delays beyond our control.
- We’ll assist with FedEx claims, but outcomes are not guaranteed.
5) Cancellations, refunds & fees
- No refunds once an order has shipped.
- Weather delays don’t qualify for cancellation; we’ll ship when safe.
- WYSIWYG coral cancellations (before shipping) are subject to a 20% fee.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
6) Store credit & discounts (DOA/replacements)
- Order of operations: Discounts apply to merchandise first. After discounts, any DOA store credit is subtracted from the remaining subtotal.
- No discount on credit: Store credit itself isn’t discounted.
- What credit can’t cover: Credit can’t be used for shipping or taxes.
- Example: $1,000 cart with 20% off → $800. If you have $300 in DOA credit, it’s applied after the discount → $800 − $300 = $500 due (shipping/taxes extra).
7) Photos, color & lineage
- Photos are taken under standard reef lighting or provided by suppliers. Color may vary based on your settings.
- Lineage is only guaranteed when explicitly stated on the product page.
8) Disputes & chargebacks
- If something’s off, email us first at info@corals4u.us. We stand behind our animals and will work with you.
- Initiating a chargeback without contacting us violates this policy. We’ll reference this page during any dispute.
